Note on Content Accuracy

Although I have tried to ensure that the podcasts faithfully reflect the content of my books, they may contain errors or inaccuracies due to the use of artificial intelligence.

For example, in one of the recordings, an AI-generated female voice states that in kokutsu-dachi, 70% of the body weight should be placed on the rear leg. Although this weight distribution was commonly taught in earlier Shotokan, particularly within the JKA during the 1980s and 1990s, it is not mentioned in any of my books.

Nishiyama's approach presented a different perspective, based on keeping the weight centered to better control the direction of the next movement. Traditional Karate has continued to evolve through a deeper understanding of the body and, in particular, the biomechanical factors that contribute to effective movement.

The point is not necessarily that the earlier explanation is wrong, but that it reflects an older historical approach and does not represent what is presented in my books. Despite my attempts, I have not been able to get the AI to reproduce this distinction correctly. I may have overlooked other details as well. Overall, however, I believe the recordings come reasonably close to the content of the books.
